The Cool Kids

More proof that, at least in the eyes of the general public, BMX culture is moving beyond giant spectacles like the X-Games. The Cool Kids are a hip-hop duo from Chicago, getting some major play at MTVU, who put them on their list of Freshman Five for this fall, with their video for their song “Black Mags”. The Cool Kids consist of Mikey and Chuck and this duo hailing from the suburbs of the Windy City is bringing that big beat hip-hop back. Check out their single "Black Mags" from their album "Totally Flossed Out".

I Personally Think that i'm ONLY Gonna Like This Song From Them.

Consequence

The 4th video off Consequence's critically acclaimed LP "Don't Quit Your Day Job". If I Remember Properly, It Was also On Kanye's "Freshman Adjustment" Cd.

The Good, The Bad, The Ugly - Feat. Kanye

ACCORDION

New video from Madvillain, only a sip from the magical brew called Stones Throw Records. This is one of my first favorite track MF DOOM spit on. And with The Beat Konducta Madlib by his side, you can't lose. So heres the new video straight off of the album "Madvillainy", and right out of the hands of Peanut Butter Wolf (Founder Of Stones Throw Records )....Enjoy.

Right Place x Right Time

Photobucket

Me, Gregatron and a few of the homies set out to the infamous 5 Points last friday to get some flicks for our portfolio. Two chicks (One from Lithuania, Other from Manchester) approached us asking if they could interview us (since we're Graffiti Artists). We're half way through the interview and a French photographer asks us if he can get a couple of shots of us and our kicks for his French sneaker site http://thedailysnkr.com/. Its fun knowing you're getting exposure in France and London just from being at the right place at the right time. As far as the interview, I'll contact the chicks and try to get it sent to me for you guys' viewing pleasure.

Sneaker Cursors

Photobucket

You know your life has been taken over by sneakers when you have Jordan posters covering every inch of your wall and computer background is related to shoes. Now you can take it to the next level by installing these sneakers cursors and icons. You can find pretty much any Nike shoe you wish for your mouse cursor. There are also some adidas and Puma ones as well.
Since the site is in Japanese, here are some instructions for installation:

1. After downloading the file, unzip using a program such as Winrar.

2. Copy the files into c:/windows/cursors/

3. Go to your control panel and open up "Printers and Other Hardware"

4. Click on "Mouse" then "Pointers" tab and you should be able to browse for the cursors that you unzipped into c:/windows/cursors/

Madvillainy (2004)

Photobucket

Now let me go back about 4 years. A product of two of the most exciting figures in hip-hop today, MF DOOM and Madlib, Madvillainy is a modern masterpiece. Constructed of 22 tracks, many clocking in at 2 minutes or less and lacking a chorus, the album’s disregard for convention is refreshing — especially at a time when independent hip-hop is in a bit of a creative lull. MF DOOM’s entire presence is incredible: his off-kilter flow, his laid back delivery, his wordplay, and his obscure lyrics, which somehow walk a thin line between realness and nerdiness. Not to be outdone, Madlib proves himself to be an unequivocal genius. Madvillainy showcases some of the most brilliant uses of samples in recent memory, perhaps ever.
